You can call the Seagate Expansion a typical portable drive. Check if the device is detected in Device Manager.

Follow the steps given below to check the status of the device in Device Manager.

1. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
2. Seagate Backup Plus 4TBand right-click on the drive.
3. Select Properties and check if the device is working properly under Device Status.

If there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, then it indicates that there are some issues with it.

Check if the external disk is compatible with Windows 10.
