I cant install the printer on my Windows 7 Pro x64.

1. The Datamax-O-Neil E-4204B is a 203 dpi printer designed for a wide variety of industries and applications. The reliable and cost-effective E-4204B features a 4 inches/sec speed and 4.25 print width plus a choice of USB and Serial interfaces.
2. We support all Datamax printers including the E-4204, E-4203, E-4206, E-4208, i4206, i4208, i4212, m4208, m4212, the workstation series and all other models. Print labels from any application on Mac and direct to your Datamax printer.
3. There is a MacOS native print driver for only two Datamax-O'Neil (by Honeywell) printers: the Workstation (desktop) and Performance Series (industrial) printers.

The Datamax E-4204 has been renamed to the Datamax-O'Neil E-4204B. Print speeds of up to 4 ips The E-4204 entry level printer performs in a wide range of environments from office & retail to light industrial locations.

When i connect the printer with the usb the DriveWizard dont detect the printer even when i connect after i got in the wizard driver on,

rapidly the windows install optimal driver as Unknown Device and i cannot install nothing.

What can i do?

If you start the DriverWizard.exe application that should be located in your C:Seagull folder on your hard drive, you can select the option to 'Remove printers drivers' and then 'Use advanced printer driver removal options' to select the driver that Windows installed automatically and then remove it. Once done, make sure that your printer is not plugged in the computer.

Make sure to cancel any process from Windows trying to install automatically a driver for the printer. Once the driver wizard has located the printer, it will install the corresponding driver.

Datamax I Class Printer Drivers

I have the same problem with two different printers (4204B both), which is connected to two different computers. One with Windows2008R2 other with Windows7 64bit OSes.
But I can't stop the default windows process of installing as 'Unknown device' it's simply so fast, that I can't stop it. I tried to uninstall all drivers thru extended mode with no luck. I tried to update driver of Unknow device but it not see valid driver in seagull's drivers folder.
What can I do next?
(Printer was installed and functioning right, until I updated chipset drivers from manufacturer's site. Since with default windows driver barcode scanner hungs periodically. Now with orginal chipset drivers, all other hardware, except printer, functioning normally!)
